In this Radiographic Exposure Skills workshop, dental professionals will learn to will learn to assemble and position various film holding devices to obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs, including mastering techniques such as paralleling, bisecting-the-angle, and proper patient positioning for panoramic radiographs.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Hold a current licensed issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as an RDA, RDH, DDS, or DMD.

SEMINAR (WORKSHOP) FEE:
The fee for the four (4) hour course is $75 which includes all necessary PPE, supplies, and supplemental materials.
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
The cancellation/refund deadline is a week (7 days) prior to the course.
A 20% administrative fee will be assessed for all cancellation requests on or prior to this date.
Since this is a limited attendance course, “no shows” will forfeit the full course fee.
No refunds will be granted after seven (7) days prior to the course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this workshop, students will be able to utilize various film holding devices to correctly position and obtain diagnostic quality radiographs during patient care.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
How to assemble film holding devices
How to position film holding devices using the paralleling technique
Learn about different film holding devices
Will learn the proper machine setting for intended exposure types (Posterior PA’s, Anterior PA’s, Bitewings)
The bisecting-the-angle technique
The correct positioning of patients for panoramic radiographs
Common patient hurdles and adaptation methods
Common positioning errors and how to correct
