In this Basic Orthodontic Skills workshop, dental professionals will acquire essential techniques such as untying, changing, and retying wires using o-rings and elastic chains, positioning patients, and maintaining a clean work area, as well as providing home care instructions for patients

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Hold a current licensed issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as an RDA, RDH, DDS, or DMD.
Submit a completed application
Pay the seminar fee
SEMINAR (WORKSHOP) FEE:
The fee for the four (4) hour course is $75 which includes all necessary PPE, supplies, and supplemental materials.
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
The cancellation/refund deadline is a week (7 days) prior to the course.
A 20% administrative fee will be assessed for all cancellation requests on or prior to this date.
Since this is a limited attendance course, “no shows” will forfeit the full course fee.
No refunds will be granted after seven (7) days prior to the course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this workshop, students will be able to correctly untie, change wire, and retie using both single o-rings and elastic chain.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
How to position patient
How to remove o-rings and chain using dental explorer
How to remove and replace wire in proper position using Weingart plier
How to retie o-rings and chain using Mathieu plier
How to trim wire’s using Distal-end cutters
Anterior figure-eight wire tie, twist and tuck.
How to maintain a clean work area
Home care instructions for patient
