In this Provisional Fabrication Skills workshop, dental professionals will learn to fabricate and cement crowns and bridges.
This course is a four (4) hour CERP-Certified course intended to enhance the clinical skills of licensed dental professionals. To register, please email Angela Bush, DCDS Dental Assisting School Program Director, at angela@dcds.org.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Hold a current licensed issued by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as an RDA, RDH, DDS, or DMD.
Submit a completed application
Pay the seminar fee
SEMINAR (WORKSHOP) FEE:
The fee for the four (4) hour course is $125 which includes all necessary PPE, supplies, and supplemental materials.
CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
The cancellation/refund deadline is a week (7 days) prior to the course.
A 20% administrative fee will be assessed for all cancellation requests on or prior to this date.
Since this is a limited attendance course, “no shows” will forfeit the full course fee.
No refunds will be granted after seven (7) days prior to the course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this workshop, students will be able to correctly fabricate and cement provisional crowns and bridges during patient care.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN:
How to take a quality preliminary impression
How to choose the proper shade for provisional coverage
How to select the appropriate cement and obtain luting consistency
How load and dispense resin type temporary material
How to fabricate acrylic provisional crowns, trim, and polish
Proper trimming to maintain margins and contacts
How to clean cement
Delivery of post-op instructions
